Before releasing their debut album, Sophisticated Boom Boom, Dead or Alive (known firstly as Nightmares In Wax), released a few singles and EPs, including Birth of a Nation EP which featured the songs 'Black Leather', 'Shangri-La', and 'Girl's Song'. Included on this compilation is the first version of 'Misty Circles' (which would later appear on Sophisticated Boom Boom).

If you think this will sound like You Spin Me Round and songs after that, you're quite wrong! It shows a much rawer, punkier Dead or Alive, and Pete Burns' vocals are nothing short of amazing.

Definately give it a listen.
